The St. Louis Gateway Chapter strives to provide educational opportunities that allow individuals to grow both personally and professionally. If you have attended a seminar and would like to provide feedback, or are aware of a program suitable for our chapter meeting, please contact Nancy Pittman, Programs/Education Chair. Your ideas/suggestions are always welcome.

Scholarships to the National Conference:

The St. Louis Gateway Chapter grants scholarships to the National Conference for members who are active members of the chapter.  Scholarship applications are due in early spring for that year’s conference.  The criteria used to determine who will receive a scholarship follow.

  1. Chapter membership.  1-2 years = 3 points; over 2 years = 1 point
  2. CMP, CGMP, and/or CHSP(C) Certification = 10 points each (must list year certified)
  3. Monthly meeting attendance = 2 points per meeting attended.  Bonus 5 points if all meetings are attended (must be verified by a board member)
  4. Monthly meeting speaker or panel member = 10 points per engagement (must include copies of agenda/program and /or recap from newsletter article)
  5. Staffed monthly registration table = 4 points per month (months must be listed and verified by committee chair)
  6. Committee involvement = up to 5 points per committee; 10 points if chair (must be verified)
  7. New members brought in = 8 points per new member (must list name(s) and your name must appear as sponsor on membership application) (must be verified by Membership Chair who is exempt)
  8. Chapter newsletter contribution = 5 points per article (written article, include title and copy)
  9. National conference attendance = 1 point/year, maximum of 3 points
  10. National involvement = 10 points (article in Advantage magazine, presenter at National conference, volunteer at National conference, member of National committee) (must be verified)
  11. Support of chapter = 10 points (list support and participation in chapter activities such as fundraising, community involvement projects, mentoring, etc)
  12. Chapter or regional conference previous year = 5 points for attendance; 5 additional points for committee or volunteer work; maximum 10 points (must be verified)
